A little window into other Cultures
Laura Kangas is a designer, facilitator and strategist of organizational and individual change and development.  Her clients have included Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, law firms, medical industries, pharmaceutical companies, universities and financial institutions.  She has designed and led National Diversity Conferences for clients, and has done extensive diversity work with Texas Instruments, Boston Scientific, Texaco, Georgia Power, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.   At Pfizer, she helped design, deliver and train trainers to deliver two diversity and inclusion programs for the top 2000 global managers.

Laura specializes in customized client focused consulting, training, coaching, and design, with a strong commitment to continued growth, development, and leading edge technology.  Laura has the unique talent of being equally interested and skilled in both curriculum design and program delivery. In  2002, working in collaboration with Center Focus International and Hasbro, Inc., Laura won a National Award for effectiveness, creativity, and applicability in Diversity design and work.

Prior to 1987, when she founded RiverBend Associates, Inc., Laura worked at Digital Equipment Corporation.  At Digital, her work included areas of direct management experience in the International Sales Analysis Group, as well as Human Resource Development consulting, Employee Relations, Multicultural training, management and organizational development and diversity.  She was a co-designer, the U.S. Program Manager, and a facilitator for a corporate wide Diversity seminar delivered to over 150,000 employees.

Laura is an adjunct faculty member at Lesley University, Becker College, and Webster University.   She designed and delivered a three-day Leadership Program at the Isle of Man International School of Business.   She has an undergraduate degree in Education, with a strong concentration in Psychology, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational and Adult Development and Cross-Racial Counseling from Harvard University.  She is certified in Meyers-Briggs (MBTI).
